Size of the individual colloidal particles is VERY IMPORTANT, becuase this is a case where the smaller the particles, the more effective the effect. All colloidal preperations are only powerfull and fully effective when stored in darkly colored glass bottles eg., amber, cobalt blue and dark green etc. This is because plastic bottles encourage static electicity interaction with their contents and will dismantle the colloidal structure thus depriving the colloidal sollution of all of it's efficacy. The dark colored bottles will protect the colloidal contents from direct sun light which will also cause colloidal breakdown. The problems experienced when buying cheaply mass produced colloidals is that they are usually made using a short time cycle using a high voltage. This results in larger particles being made which tend to clot together and collapse to the bottom of the bottle making them ineffective. At the other end of the spectrum their are small operations making colloidals actually using piped water together with all the contaminents and particulates usually found in this type of water. Even so-called distilled water supplied by a reputable naional bottled water company, considers distilled water as that which is "distilled" by passing the water through a series of filters ending with a final osmosis filtration. THIS IS NOT PURE DISTILLED WATER! We have tried all these methods and we at the Alchemists Workshop have found that the minimum quality of water that should be used in making collidals for holistic purposes, is STEAM DISTILLED water. Unless the water quality is extremely pure it also interacts and interferes with the process of extracting very small, lasting and effective colloidal sollutions.

COST v's QUALITY AND EFFECTIVENESS: There are certain processes that you cannot speed up, and there are minimum standards of purity that have to be paid for.
